Tele-Nomads

The extension of the interface concept away from the purely technological connection man/machine toward a social environment, in which telematic hypermedia become complex, cultural text/image/memory surfaces, brings the media and network discussion back from the science fiction of VR-technologies to the solid ground of social formations: Questions of overstepping boundaries, mixing personal, physical, medial, social domains and spheres of influence - the network of reflection, exchange, mixing and confronting of media, inner and outer worlds, private modes of speaking and public tracks ... thinking as travelling through inner and outer information networks: As telematic nomads, we are freed of the constraints of an historic identity of place and time, and instead we have the power of being everywhere simultaneously while we remain in one place - the power of continuous movement within one and the same place: the telematic nomad is equipped for a kind of omnipresence.
